I think this video explains how I feel 🙂

Day 9
Well everyone it has been a little over a week now since my leg left me. I took a couple days off to rest and enjoy the weather but I’m back on the keyboard today. On Wednesday I had some laser therapy and an Ozone treatment which made my swelling and pain better. Then we stopped at the park so I could check up on my old stomping ground and make sure nobody was messing anything up while I’ve been gone. Looked pretty good. Everyday is getting better, yesterday I broke out the tennis ball and today I was talking some trash through the fence to the neighbor. I’m looking forward to getting off these meds and next week I get my staples out. In the meantime I will just keep on loungin.
Special shout out to G-ma and G-pa Wheeler for coming over and making sure I didn’t chew out my staples last week so mom & dad could go back to work. Not sure why they go to work but I guess someone has to keep the food in the bowl around here.
Days 3 and 4 as a Tripawd
Good evening everyone. This entry will be a little short, I haven’t quite mastered typing with only one paw yet and I’ll be honest, I’m tired today. The hospital drugs and adrenaline have worn off and I’m tired and sore so I spent my day lounging in the yard. The hot compressing has helped with my swelling and bruising and I was still able to hop out to the yard all by myself. It dipped down to a cool 65 last night and I needed my blanket. Adorable pictures to follow 🙂
Day 2 as a Tripawd
My second day as a tripawd has been pretty good. It is snowing in the rest of the country but I live in sunny San Diego and today it is 75 degrees out. I hopped outside and sunned myself, had a marrow bone and rested comfortably all day. I’m getting around pretty good for the most part. Not sure where my leg ran off to but I don’t seem to need it all that much 🙂
First day as a tripawd
Getting out of the hospital Car Load My track to the yard
Today I started my journey as a tripawd. I was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma on 12/31/2014 and I managed to live a fairly unaltered life until about a week or so ago when the pain began to become to great. After making sure that we were good candidate for amputation, by making sure there were no obvious signs on cancer elsewhere in my body, my mom decided to have my leg amputated to control the spread of the disease and to ease my pain. The nurses said I was a champ and was recovering well enough to go home today, the day after my surgery. I hopped out to my mom and am now resting comfortably on my bed. I’m sure the next few days will be difficult but I’m already up and hopping out to the yard to use the facilities and my new life as a tripod is off to a good start.
